Make an appointment.

Although not required, we definitely recommend scheduling an appointment to try on gowns so you not only receive our full service attention…but also have a fitting room as occasionally we can run out of rooms and we’re as disappointed as our customers when that happens. If your time is flexible or you just couldn’t commit…walk-in and we’ll work you in as soon as possible.

Preparing for your first appointment.

Look in magazines to determine styles you might like.

Take some time to look through the designers websites that Schaffer’s carries. Print out the dress styles you like and bring them with you to your appointment. If you can’t print out the pictures, make a list of the designers and dress styles that you like and bring that with you.

You should also be prepared with knowing when, where and at what time your wedding will take place. This will help your consultant in suggesting appropriate options for your specific event.

Begin shopping for your gown early. It is best to allow plenty of time to order your gown and allow time for alterations.

Think about your budget. Whether or not you have a specific number in your head, give yourself a range that makes you feel comfortable.

Envision your wedding. Do you want a crazy party or a simple but elegant gathering? Do you want your guests to say that was so much fun or “wow” she looked incredible? Your gown should be a reflection of your “vision” of yourself and your wedding.

Things to know about Schaffer's before you start shopping.

BRIDAL DESIGNERS: Our designers consist of our Schaffer’s Exclusive line, Cymbeline, Jim Hjelm Bridal, Dere Kiang, Monique Lhuillier, Manuel Mota, Pronovias, Maggie Soterro, Judd Waddell and Christina Wu.

STOCK PIECES: Our stock pieces vary in size and color. The dresses in the store range in size from 6 to 24.

DELIVERY: Standard delivery for bridal gowns is 5 to 7 months to arrive from the manufacturer.

PRICING: We have bridal gowns in our store that range in price from $99 to $6,000.

ALTERATIONS: Alteration prices are not included in the price of the bridal gown. Alterations are available at an additional charge. Specific price quotes are given upon request.
