Bridal Tips : What Else?
Choosing gifts for your bridesmaids
They’ve been with you through the good times, and the not so good times. And now you’ve asked them to be a special part of your big day. It might not be your top priority, but make sure to devote plenty of time and thought into choosing the right gift to let them know that you appreciate their friendship and of course the time, energy and money they’ve invested into making your big day a success. Afterall, “A happy bridesmaids make a happy bride.”
Traditionally, bridesmaid gifts are jewelry, and specifically matching jewelry that your bridesmaids can all wear to your wedding. Good choices are earrings or bracelets that incorporate a color motif that matches the main color of the wedding or the bridesmaid’s dresses. A more contemporary approach is to get your bridesmaids an assortment of gifts including a matching jewelry item as well as a more personalized item or collection of smaller token items.
Bridesmaids gifts are generally presented at the rehearsal dinner. This gives you the chance to make a more formal presentation, perhaps accompanied by a toast or short stories about your relationship with the individual bridesmaids.
Some common bridesmaid gifts include:
• Jewelry
• Purse Accessories (compacts, lipstick cases, key chain, pill cases and travel frames)
• Picture Frames or Albums
• Tote Bags
To add a personal touch to any of these items, consider a personalized engraved or embroidered message. This could be something specific to each bridesmaid, the date of the wedding, or their name or initials.
