Event Tips : The Day of Your Event

Choose a contact person

If you do not have a event coordinator, make sure that your vendors, reception site, etc. have a contact number to reach someone the day of the wedding. Usually a relative or family member is happy to be the contact person. Make sure the person has an itinerary and is fully informed about delivery times and where and how items are to be placed. Have someone designated to be at the site(s) to check on deliveries; flowers, special decorations, the wedding cake, and any equipment that must be set up or installed.

Ask for help

Have helpers be in charge of other specific parts of the big day: ceremony programs, pew decorations, guest book, place cards, table favors, and so on.

Essential Items

Several items are absolutely essential- the license, the wedding rings, payments for the officiant, and tips and payments for others that have not been paid in advance.
